Fresh out of bullet-related puns

So right to 'em:

  • Belo is building a $120 million production plant in South Dallas. That's a lot of money.
  • Leslie Walker of the WaPo has a piece on hyperlocal sites (reg. req.) fueled by user-generated content. I was interviewed for the article, but she had plenty of material without having to resort to quoting the anonymous Mr. Peg.
  • Speaking of hyperlocal, a reader points me to another North Texas site, this one focused on the Bonham area.
  • Skeptical Simon Waldman has a roundup of remarks on the state of media. My fave, from the AP's Tom Curley: The franchise is not the newspaper; it’s not the broadcast; it’s not even the Web site. The franchise is the content itself. And in Web 2.0, discrete pieces of content – stories, photos and video clips – all categorized and branded, will be dis-assembled from whatever presentation you create and magically re-assembled on the PC desktop, the mobile device or TV set-top box, for consumption on demand.
  • Spanish-speakers continue to love us. The majority of our referrals in the past day have been from sites in Spain and South America. We seem to be huge in Argentina. Bienvenidos amigos.

Can't believe they're choosing *now* to do this. In light of layoffs, circulation scandals and the quarterly expectations of losses. They JUST...DON'T...GET IT.

I have a project like yours project, but with several twist. This project (my project) fit to the Argentinian media Business and Internet regional develop, but...but...but... Not for the media businessman head. Again but..
It sees by them.
good luck.
