Until we launch, I guess we
can practice on the simulation

Being a lifelong video game and news junkie, I've always been a little disappointed that there  wasn't a good publishing simulation on the market. Sure, there are many business tycoon games out there (Lemonade Stand was an early fave);  flight sims; "The" Sims, etc. But nothing to put one in a virtual publishing company.

My prayers have been answered by the least likely taker imaginable: Hef:

But no, forget about the multiple girlfriends and the infinite amount of booze and everyone sucking up to you, the real core of the game is something bigger, something monumental, something about getting those breasts out into the mainstream.

Where
The Sims focuses on vague notions of improving one's self and getting a family and a bigger house, Playboy is much more goal-oriented. The magazines need to get made and this involves keeping several different balls in the air at once. Journalists, models, and photographers all need to be hired to get the work done on the production side, but there's much more to it than that. There are also the celebrities that need to be courted with swank parties and promises of romps with Playmates in the grotto.

Brilliant? Pathetic? Maybe a little of both...
